Harvester Calibration with New DP II Caliper and Skalman v7

Precision measuring instrument manufacturer Haglöf Sweden's computer caliper-based calibration system, the Skalman®, holds a leading position on the world-market. With the fresh introduction of Haglöf's new DP II caliper along with unique accessories, the Skalman® system moves one step further for improved efficiency and in full compliance with the latest standard requirements.
Harvester calibration is a dominating user application area for computer calipers. Well-documented and traceable calibration protocols are mandatory on many timber producing markets, and calibration processes are becoming more and more standardized.
The Skalman v7 with caliper DP II is the first system on the market that is fully adapted and ready for the new StanForD 2010 standard. The StanForD standard has been implemented in several upgraded merchandise computer versions, including LogMate 500 (LogMax), Timbermatic H (John Deere), Forester (Rottne and Eco-Log) to mention a few. Custom holders and universal communication cables are part of the seamless and ready-to-use DP II Skalman® system.
The DP II caliper is available in many scale lengths and configuration including crowned lengths. The unique Digitech Tape (accessory) has a retractible wire extending to 7.5 meters.
The DP II caliper, introduced on the world market in June 2013, is versatile and built for flexible use, and works with numerous professional applications for modern measuring work. Apart from the Skalman harvester calibration system, the DP II is adapted for smooth operation in timber and log scaling industry and for efficient cruising in all types of forests. Many unique accessories for the DP II system, including the digital Digitech Tape and the DP DME to measure distance with ultrasound when cruising standing trees, are available to enhance efficiency and measurement precision.
