Messe Frankfurt extends its trade fair portfolio in China by organising Meat Expo China 2015 with the Circulation Industry Promotion Center

China: a prosperous market with growing demand for better food safety and smart meat processing
Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd and the Circulation Industry Promotion Center (CIPC) have confirmed the cooperation in the management and organisation of Meat Expo China - China International Trade Fair for the Meat Industry, starting from 2015. The show's next edition is scheduled to be held from 25 - 27 November in Shanghai New International Expo Center after rotating its location in the Chinese cities of Beijing, Chengdu, Ningbo and Tianjin.
CIPC, the organiser of the existing show, is a direct subsidiary under the Ministry of Commerce of China. It launched Meat Expo China in Harbin in 2002 to streamline the circulation industry development, facilitate domestic demand expansion and moderate consumption structure adjustment in the country. Growing steadily over the years, the show attracted 84 exhibitors and 6,000 buyers to its 2014 edition.
Messe Frankfurt is one of the world's leading trade show organisers responsible for world famous technology and production trade shows including IFFA, the leading international trade fair for processing, packaging and sales in the meat industry, held every three years in Frankfurt, Germany. With the involvement at Meat Expo China, Messe Frankfurt expands its event profile in China, and is expected to strengthen the fair's internationality by its extensive global network in the meat industry.
Mr Richard Li, General Manager of Messe Frankfurt (Shanghai) Co Ltd is confident the partnership will be favourable for both organisations. Combining the efforts with the two organisers, Meat Expo China is anticipated to become the nation's top trade destination for meat products and meat processing systems. With 12,600 sqm of exhibition space, the 2015 show is expected to welcome around 200 international and domestic exhibitors from all along the supply chain, as well as 10,000 visitors of meat and meat processing retail trade, wholesale/foreign trade, skilled trade, slaughterhouse operations, supermarkets, hotels and restaurants, catering companies, fast food outlets, poultry processors, logistics and service providers all under one roof in Shanghai. |
