Innovative Retrofit Controller RC1 for all CMM brands

Hexagon Metrology launches its brand new numerical controller RC1, specifically designed for CMMs requiring a technology update in order to benefit from the latest standards in motion and dynamic performance.
Retrofits deal with the modernization or conversion of existing equipment to extend the lifetimes of CMMs. With Hexagon Metrology's after-market service, customers improve productivity in quality assurance, increasing their system's throughput and ease-of-use.
Thanks to its modular and scalable hardware architecture, RC1 can interface with coordinate measuring machines from most manufacturers, whether large or small. RC1 belongs to the large family of DC controllers produced by Hexagon Metrology and uses the identical technology platform. RC1 is equipped with R-TUNE technology, which allows an automatic tuning of the CMM whose system components are unknown beforehand.
This process takes just a short time and requires no specialist intervention. RC1 can adapt itself to the different types of machine directly in the field and can choose between many available configuration options in order to update its measurement system. These options include the support for the Hexagon Metrology probe head range, including the motorised indexing probe heads. Support is provided for heads and probes produced by other manufacturers in the industry as well. Linear temperature compensation of machine axes is also optionally available.
