Use and processing of the different series:
8000 series - The highest thermo-mechanical properties
- Processing at 380ºC
- Injection, extrusion, compounding, extrusion-compression, Rods Extrusion, Blocks Extrusion-compression, semi-products, Flakes, Pellets…
7000 Series - The compromise for structural composites
- Processing at 350ºC and still crystallisable
- Carbon fibres impregnation, UD or fabric
- Tape placement / Compression forming
6000 Series - The lowest processing temperature & the slowest crystallization
- Processing Tº from 320 to 360ºC
- Amorphous, except in specific processes with very slow cooling conditions
- Injection, extrusion, compounding, calendering, thermoforming, powder coating, rotomoulding, welding, fibres impregnation, sintering
6000 Series - The lowest processing Tº and the slowest crystallization
- Any PAEK can be extruded in cast film and gives an amorphous material
- Extrusion calendering of thick sheets is a very unique possibility of 6000 Series
- Thermoforming is easy thanks to a wide temperature window
