The Alfa Igloo insulated air cooler is a sturdy and flexible heavy-duty industrial air cooler, specially designed for high-capacity cooling and freezing applications in, for instance, large logistic centres. The heat exchanger is situated inside an insulated casing. This casing is fitted with an adjustable flap door. During freezing operation this flap door separates the air-on and air-off flows. The flap door will be closed during the defrosting process, thus enhancing defrost efficiency and preventing defrost heat from entering the cell. Special attention has been paid to various construction details in order to achieve trouble-free operation, easy installation and maintenance and a long life. The construction is standardized with regard to the external dimensions of the insulated casing, while flexibility in the heat exchanger design is maintained.
Alfa Igloo coolers may be mounted outside the cell, resulting in optimum cold room usage with no refrigerant piping and connections inside the cell.
